Have you ever heard of the great illustrator and author Eric Carle? Eric Carle maintains a really cool picture book art museum. The museum is located in Amherst MA right next to the Hampshire College. This museum is the only one of its kind in the United States and boasts constantly changing displays of the finest artwork of children's books as well as a gift shop where rare editions can be found, a library of fine children's books, guided tours and a guided hands on opportunity for children to try their hand at making their own artworks. This museum is a must for parents and those who are young at heart! There is enough material in the museum to easily fill a whole day of fun activities. Check out the site http://www.picturebookart.org for information regarding special events, admission hours and changing displays.

Neat... I love it when
Neat... I love it when museums let kids do hands-on stuff. It's such a great way for them to learn.
