Recommended Places to Go Online in Central Park: The following hot spots, courtesy of the Park Wifi, are excellent choices for working online while enjoying Nature, as noted in earlier posts:

I know, I know; this has to be one of the strangest post titles I’ve come up with. But bear with me.

A sporty, cozy kind of bar on Spring street and across from Parliament Station, the Cricketers Bar sees a wide assortment of patrons. From politicians to stray tourists, plenty of people wander in for a drink and a chat to the friendly staff.

It's one of these odd days today, Friday, January 2, a day wedged between a holiday and the weekend. I don't know if it's appropriate to do serious work today, the kind an employer would expect, but I'm guessing it's not. I'm taking the liberty of giving everyone in the listening area the day off.

This is not technically a city blog as Karie & Scott move around so much but I love reading the first impressions of the places they visit seen through wide and observant American eyes. They are a married couple who sold practically everything they own and moved to Barcelona, and are currently travelling around Europe, seemingly going absolutely everywhere!
