If you ever come to the city of Calcutta (Kolkata) you will still find a strong resemblance with London, for which it was once called as the second city of the British Empire. Now you may disagree seeing the changing picture of the city. But it can be still called a City of Monuments and preferably of British origin if you care to take a walk down the streets in the evening.
