A stroll in the park

WOTBA never (as in 'never') fails to absorb and inform. Much more than a simple "walkers" guide to Manhattan (and recently, Brooklyn) WOTBA makes the whole experience a rich mixture of fact, observation and astute commentary without ever preaching or hectoring. "Try this" is much more like the style of WOTBA. Reading the posts (illustrated with some marvellous photography) is much like reading a diary written by a particularly well rounded personality and as with reading any of the great diarists, the outlines of a personality can be found between the words, never in the bald, over simplified 'views' still less 'judgements'. Not then so much a tour guide or less a hand to hold but a sauve and friendly voice in on's inner ear. "Look. Is this not wonderful – and free!"
