Exomod News - Best Cafe in Perth is Expanding

I used to live near the Mount Lawley cafe strip in Perth and at that time I got addicted to visiting the Exomod cafe at 615 Beaufort Street, both because the drinks they make are fantastic (I became a big fan of their hot chocolates) and they always have decadent cakes to serve up too. Plus, it's one of the few places in Perth that actually opens late - apparently it's 24 hours over the weekend which is really rare.

Recently I've seen a few signs up in other parts of the city saying that new Exomod cafes will open there soon. There is already another one in South Perth (off Mill Point Road) and the new ones I've seen will be in Newcastle Street, Northbridge, and right in the city centre in the Murray Street Mall, in the shop where the Lindt Chocolate shop used to be. Of course, I was devastated to see the chocolate shop close but a new Exomod will be a good substitute. The owner is a local and they're now franchising the whole Exomod theme - rumour has it that there will be 20 Exomods in the future. If you're visiting Perth and walk past one - it's bright red so you probably won't miss it - definitely stop by. The Mount Lawley one has free Wi-Fi and I can only assume the franchises will follow suit.

Belgium Chocolate is all they have going.

Too bad their Mt. Lawley store's only barista is so inexperienced she doesn't know how to actually make coffee. Let alone heat or texture milk.

I've been to all of Exomod's stores and there is zero consistency throughout them all, even busting a conversation, as one barista to another barista made me realise that they don't even understand the very fundamentals of the process in delivering a nice shot in the cup.

I feel sorry for those La Cimbali's and Magnum's being used by their hands. For any enthusiast coffee affectionados, I recommend another places such as Lemon, Epic Espresso, Tiger Tiger and Café 54 on pier street.

To make matters worse, smelling a bag of their coffee beans resulted in nothing but the aroma of carbon and ash. Mmm, stale and still going straight into the hopper; urgh.

i have been visiting exomod for the past 2 years and have seen many changes and love this cafe. the coffee is great and service is very friendly nothing seems to be a to hard for them to handle. in all my time going to exomod i have only had one coffee a bit to hot, but when said to them that it was i bit to hot they made me a new one straight away and it was great.
